Medical Test Price List
We are pleased to offer excellent patient choice in medical testing, allowing us to help a patient monitor their health and take the right steps towards correct diagnosis.
We offer the full range of laboratory tests so if you do not see what you need on our website, please call us and we will take you through the details.
Test prices do not include a consultation. We strongly recommend a consultation to discuss which tests are clinically appropriate for you.
If you request a test without a consultation (except for sexual health testing) and there are any abnormalities, you will be asked to take your results to your GP or return for a consultation, which is chargeable. Doctors cannot discuss results without a consultation and examination.
Some common tests conducted at our clinic include:
Mid-stream urine testing - £65
Full sexual health screen – £245
Thyroid function testing - £85
Vitamin D level testing - £145
Full blood profile – only £95
This is our unique full blood profile which offers excellent value and a very comprehensive overview of your health. The profile looks at full blood count, liver function, kidney function, iron profile, lipid (cholesterol) profile, ferritin, calcium profile, potassium, sodium and in all, 40 different markers.
Who should have this test?
Everyone could benefit from having this profile as it often shows up issues that should be addressed before they become problematic. This test is a good reflection of the impact of lifestyle, diet and alcohol consumption. It also shows up signs of inflammation, anaemia, cholesterol issues, liver strain, diabetes, osteoporosis and more.
Mid-stream urine testing - £65
Urinary tract infections are very uncomfortable and stressful to deal with. It is sometimes difficult to see your GP quickly. When you come to see us for a consultation, a doctor will recommend a mid-stream urine test. The reason for an MSU test is to know exactly which bacteria is causing the infection and which antibiotics it is sensitive to. We will give you treatment immediately with a blanket antibiotic and contact you once the results are back to ensure the treatment is the correct match to the infection. This test is particularly important if you are experiencing recurrent infections or an infection that has proved resistant to treatment.
Full sexual health screen – £245
If you have had unprotected sex or are embarking on a new relationship, a full sexual health screen will give complete peace of mind. This screen has been formulated by our head doctor to cover HIV and early HIV detection, syphilis testing, hepatitis B and C, gonorrhoea, chlamydia, herpes and a range of other bacterial infections. Results come back quickly and a doctor will call you to explain your results. Where prescribed treatment is required, this is provided as part of the cost.
Thyroid function testing - £85
This profile gives a clear overview of whether your thyroid is functioning correctly and is a useful screening for people suffering from tiredness and lack of energy, palpitations and many other symptoms.
Vitamin D level testing - £145
More and more research is showing the impact of low vitamin D on our health. Low vitamin D levels are associated with decreased bone density and osteoporosis, general aches and pains and even tiredness. If you are found to have a reduced level of vitamin D that merits prescribed high concentration supplements, these will be provided following your test result. Please note that regular blood testing is required when taking vitamin D supplements.
Gut fermentation test - £90
This test looks for overgrowth of candida in the gut. Symptoms caused by this include fatigue, abdominal bloating and weight gain. It is easily treated with a one month course of treatment along with dietary modification. This can be a life-changing test for many people.
Lactose intolerance test
Do you find that you experience nausea, diarrhoea or bloating when you drink milk or eat ice cream? It is possible that you are lactose intolerant. If you want to know for sure, there is a test conducted at our laboratory that will give you the answer.
Fructose intolerance test
Increasingly, more and more people are being diagnosed as fructose intolerant. Fructose is the sugar found in fruit. This might seem strange as we all know fruit is good for us but unfortunately in some people it causes headaches, abdominal pain and bloating and other symptoms.
